Bourne Yr8 Lockdown Team
Fundraising as part of team:
Year 8 Lockdown
My Story
We are taking on the 100 step Challenge for JDRF, the charity that funds research to treat, prevent and cure type 1 diabetes.
In Bourne Community College - Year 8 we have set ourselves a goal of a minimum of 100,000 steps a day between both staff and children! In total our big goal is to reach 5 million by the 28th Feb.
This condition affects 400,000 people in the UK, with over 29,000 of them children. Incidences are increasing by about four per cent each year and particularly in children under five, with a five per cent increase each year in this age group over the last 20 years. JDRF aims to create a world without type 1 diabetes. Until that day, your support is vital to help fund world-class research, improving treatments until JDRF finds the cure.
Please support us and JDRF by sponsoring our JDRF 100 step Challenge for the next few weeks .
