Cycle for type 1 diabetes this September

Whether you are a complete beginner or a seasoned cyclist, Cycle for a Cure is the challenge for you! This year we have seven unique distances for you to choose from.

Select your distances, grease up your chain, take to the roads in your local area - or jump on a turbo trainer or watt bike - and clock up the kilometres to help us cycle towards a cure for type 1 diabetes.

How to take part

Step 1: Pick your route (remember we have Strava integration* to log your kms!)

Step 2: Complete your distance between August 28th and September 30th 2021

Step 3: Raise funds and help us continue to support people affected by type 1 diabetes

Your cycling routes

• Virtual Dunton Test Track 2.7km route: 2.7km = 1 lap...how many can you do?
• Virtual 50km route
• Virtual 100km route
• Virtual 260km route: Coast 2 Coast UK (St Bees to Robin Hood Bay)
• Virtual 500km route: London to Paris
• Virtual 1400km route: Land's End to John O'Groats
• Virtual Everesting Challenge: Climb 8,848 metres on your bike

What you'll get

This year we have added some fantastic incentives to encourage you to smash your fundraising target:

£50 = A Cycle for a Cure medal

£100 = A bespoke JDRF/Ford cycling cap

£200 = Your very own stylish JDRF cycling jersey

You will also:

• Be able to integrate your challenge with Strava*
• Have fundraising support from the team at JDRF
• Have access to our fundraising resources
• Feel amazing knowing you are getting fit and supporting a great cause
