  • About

Now more than ever it's so important to look after your mental and physical health. The 100 challenge is your opportunity to do something amazing in 2021. Use this as a chance to get back into fitness whether that's walking, running, cycling or another exercise. It's your chance to feel great whilst raising funds for vital diabetes research. Best news of all, if you raise £25 we will send you your very own limited edition 100 year anniversary medal!

So why 100? This time 100 years ago Frederick Banting and his lab partners would have been on the verge of the largest breakthrough in type 1 diabetes history – the discovery of insulin. To mark this once in a lifetime centenary anniversary we are asking you to dream up a physical challenge involving the number 100 that you can complete this New Year.

It could be absolutely anything you like; walk 100 laps round the park, cycle for 100 minutes, run 100 kms over a month. Or like Mr Motivator here you can take on 100 day squat, burpee or press up challenge - that’s 100 reps every day for 100 days!

You can do your challenge individually, as a family or with friends, break it up into bite size chunks or do it all at once. Just make sure you’re following any government guidelines.
